Professor Farnsworth Sculpture by artanis-one Professor Farnsworth Sculpture by artanis-one
Edit: Wow, First Comedy Central showed my work and then it went viral from [link] and buzzfeed.com [link] and even thinkgeek.com tweeted me! This is unreal..

So about 2 weeks ago (july18th) I decided on doing a project I wanted to do for a while now, futurama busts/ sculptures !

As far as I've seen, no one has sculpted the crew as real people yet so I decided to give it a go.

I started with the Professor and have been working non stop, well after I get out of work, that is.

I tried to stay as true to the Original Design as possible.
Keeping in mind his overbite and nose structure. I 'm really happy the way it turned out!

So far I've finished Professor Farnsworth, Zoidberg and Leela.

Will work on creating custom bases for each one.. soon!

Sculpted in 1/3rd scale (3 inch head) using super sculpey blend.

I hope you all enjoyed my real life renditions.

Side note:
As a special treat, for all the fans out there. I'm revealing the professors eyes for the first time ever....dun dun dun!

Will make mold soon and cast this bad boy soon.

Don't forget to check out

Leela...

Nibbler...

and everyone's favorite Lobster Doctor, Dr Zoidberg!

You!... You are my new favorite person! Your sculptures are amazing! And the Futurama busts are so creative and spot on.. It's obvious you put a lot of thought into them. Bravo!

This is my favorite of the Futurama sculptures. Professor Farnsworth looks like the cool grandpa who is always showing you his nifty--if potentially dangerous!--inventions that he lets you play with. Your mom says he's just a crazy old man, but you know better because he put a rocket engine on your bicycle!
